ReplyDeleteNo I love this chapter more than anyone in the whole Bible. There is just so much in it, I can think my way through over 5 thousand years of human history and it seriously influences me in my life today. As a New Zealander the reason why Wakapapa is found on the first page of the New Testament is clear to us- It is a stand of fall document more important to us than even our Treaty of Waitangi. So Ed don't take my paint drying seriously... this is the best bit of the whole book!

This geneaology is the most read part of this translation project.
Currently I am going backwards through the book of Psalms. Looking at Hebrew as an essentially brand new language coming at it from Arabic and an Islamic experience.
The message in terms of sexuality which we find coming through Hitler's Mien Kampf and Seven Pillars of Wisdom is quite different and though Arabic and Hebrew share many words with exactly the same pronunciation and meaning, the way words work within those languages- in the root system is showing something different.
Early days yet. But it seems that Hitler himself is quite Jewish having a Jewish grandfather, his father being the son of a servant woman living in a Jewish household, and thus his strange fixation with the Race question reflect something going on at a deep level.
While the level of wrong/mistranslation I have found in the book of Psalms is stunning. At time it is running at around 25% so that Hebrew words with a clear primary every day well known primary meaning in the KingJames have a wrong meaning assigned to them, preserved by the Christian intellectual tradition.-Why?
Well it is this geneaology here which is deliberately being hidden in the Septuigant Hebrew/Greek (before Christ) translation...and then the brand new Post Christ essentially Anti Jewish Christian religion has picked up that translation tradition as their own for a whole set of different reasons.
Bluntly Put- Hitler's Mein Kampf says Germans rule the world when they keep their geneaolgy intact better than the to be replaced Jews do.
Seven Pillars of Wisdom appears to show that Arab men do not keep their sexuality under control while Isalm blames it on women who can be used and abused.
But what David and Solomon in their Psalms appear to be saying is that we Men Must Look after this precious Godly human line! Do it!
