Thirty Psalms translated from Hebrew to English (120-150) we now come to a peak in 119.
My favourite verse has always been since going to Bible College of New Zealand to study why theology as taugh is false and why people do not believe the Bible- I also investigated old cupboards looking for skeletons and found interesting documants in respect of our church history.. Is 'I have more understanding than all my teachers because I meditate upon your law'
But the verse that makes this Psalm urgent at this time is 126:
Time for the Lord to work, they have made void the law.
These days in addition to my duties at work being part of a family and this translation I am obsessed with Brooklyn New York and the need for things to be happening there. (Favona Report blog-Ed)
The three religions I follow- there are more- for example I listened with amazement some years ago when my son went to Youth Parliament to represent his generation as a Radical Youth leader hearing the world's first Rastafarian MP speaking on the phone to a friend and they were discussing the Hebrew Torah- I have never ever heard in 50 years of Christianity such a discussion taking place in political office! Islam takes the view that the Jews have faked up the Torah so it cannot be trusted nor should be taken seriously or consulted except when it comes to stoning for divorce and cutting off hands etc.
It seems to me that Jews are in a world of their own when it comes to the Torah and would love to find out what they are thinking.
And Christianity has wrongly abolished the Law. Banned it except for Tithing to make the Senior Pastor Wealthy- Overseas Holidays, hideaway homes, churches established in tourist resorts, flying everywhere, many brand new vechiles and the Harley Motorbike, A TV program and the largest most successful church building program (You are jealous aren't you!-Ed. No just listing what Pastor Peter showed to me at the start of this year before I was told to leave.)
But Yes No- what our religions think about the Torah is not my concern here.
Rather it is the absence of respect not of the token having the 10 commandments on the courthouse wall, but the lack of seeing that the idolatry of modern day life is making God extremely jealous and angry such that these days it may appear to some that God has gone feral. It is into that political realm of God at work in the actual events of human history in justice and righteousness which I as his servant and prophet come into.
Let me end with an example of what I am getting at here. Here in New Zealand at the start of the year the first political event is to go to Ratana gathering place to honor that Maori Prophet. Now he once upon a time travelled to England to see the king of england about the Treaty we have, and failing that making prophecies fulfilled in WW2 came home via Japan where his ship was stopped by an industrial dispute. A Japanese Christain Bishop arranged for Ratana to meet and talk to the Emperor of Japan. When he was there he told the Emperor to stop the people worshipping him as a god and said if he didn't he has seen to powerful lights in the heavens brighter than the sun, and the cities of Japan would burn.
When it comes to respect for the Torah that is what I am thinking about.

Introduction (Final!-Ed)

This is a live real time project- thankyou for joining it.
The process has three elements to it. God whose word is dependable and true. The Bible text which is fagile and disputed in places and constantly challenged. And Paul.
The strongest element -God, must be in and through his word for this to succeed.
Then there is the work done on the text and languages. And Paul.
Pray with me now. Lord God please we pray give us a Bible for all tribes, nations languages and peoples. We give this project now back to you and pray that you will help us do it. And Paul.
So what is the Bible (Excellent question-Ed)
It is over 100 documents brought together over thousands of years. The first Gen1:1-2:4 written and signed by God. The second Gen 2:5-5:2 written signed by Adam. Genesis then is 11 documents (the last written by Joseph in Egypt-Ed) compiled by Moses, edited and uprated. The last book of the Torah Deuteronomy is likewise compiled edited and written on clay tablets by Joshua. The most active editor was Solomon and he brought together enough documents and contributions so that a Bible was emerging. Some parts are secular history written for imperial authorities (Daniel, Nehemiah Esther, Luke. Acts-Ed) and the last book is again written in Hebrew- Revelation- and is the code key for the whole book.
But before that was written and before Jesus was born Egyptian Jewish authorities working with the Egyptian King had down graded the text with a Greek translation. A process continued centuries later by St Jerome who created a Latin Christian religion.
So why a translation now?
Well let me say that no one needs a Bible-paul
People have operated and continue to operate ignorant of the Bible and yet get True Religion.
My Muslim brothers and Pentecostal brothers both demonstrate faith and by intuition achieve a level of righteousness (Sura 6:155/156) but at other times go to Afghanistan to kill each other.

Arabic and Hebrew roots compared
Jeff A Benner's Ancient Hebrew Lexicon of the Bible in intellectual content; Although quite different in scale and purpose to Hans Weir's Arabic Dictionary; Never the less is an essential volume for anyone seeking to understand languages from that Middle region of our world.
And while I have only had the privilidge now of using Benner's Hebrew Lexicon for about 10 days of Bible Translation discovering it surpassing and pushing aside the previous must have volume (BDB- Brown Driver Briggs Hebrew English Lexicon) compared to the at least 18 months I spent working through every entry in the Han's Weir work... I am already seeing things which having serious impact on the Christian Church I must now speak of.
(In this post which after a time- because it is not Bible Translation will be deleted-Ed)
In the same time period when I have been going from my very first Hebrew word looked up in Lexicons, to my very first Psalm attempted to be translated and so on, the leader of the Christian Heritage Political Party has been released from prison on parole.
So why would New Zealand internationally known for it's Human Rights record of not normally (Yes your local Mangere MP is still in prison-Ed) having political prisoners.. Well Why?
Is this Persecution of the New Zealand Church for her foremost political party ?
La! No! Not at all. Rather a work mate of mine from Sealords Fish Factory 1982 now a leading clergy man in New Zealand's quake damaged Christchurch upon discovering that the political leader was having sexual relations with family memebers turned that man over to justice.
And now- God willing- repented of what he has done we can reunite with our political leader in Christian fellowship as a brother- that is if he has genuinely repented.... (Matthew 18)
So what has this got to do with Arabic or Hebrew ?- Lots!
Intutively not looking for it- after a year or so of reading Hans Weir's Arabic Dictionary I began to see a pattern in the way that these Middle Eastern close cousin and at times identical languages, build up the illogic of their root words which flow to a family of word meaning.
And that the naturalist approach invariably meant that at times sex was the driving force behind the group of meanings. So in the forepage of the Hans Weir dictionary (that I gave to a local sending people to the middle east missionary organisation) there are 23 different roots which all relate to sex/covenant in terms of how Arab men think.
A visual example of a sexy covenant object attractive to the Arabic thinker is the actual Seven Pillars rock formation in Arab from which we get the Seven Pillars of Wisdom book.
Looking at that natural thing- you can see it has lots of cracks, and speaking in a very crude way now women have cracks which men find attractive and thus covenant is established.
Anyway I have only been using Benner's now foremost must have Hebrew Lexicon
for a few days but again without looking for them and I won't bother telling you precisely which roots I have identified... sex/covenant has become a theme which naturally emerges out of the Hebrew root system. Words like Tent Pole. And there in lies a vast difference I am seeing between...and I must emphasise I have not been looking for this, it is only an intuitive insight and my conclusions very tentative-early days in a brand new language... What occurs to me is that I did not see men's sex objects in Arabic, and likewise I have not seen yet a single Hebrew root yet which appears to be built upon women's sex objects... which proves nothing!
Right that preparation done I want to preach a sermon to the Church.
Let us pray- Lord God speak now to both our hearts and minds as we consider your word.
Right! Leviticus 18 (also found in a few verses in the Quran-Ed) is currently neglected in Biblical preaching, perhaps because Christians insist on saying we are not under the Law!
My testimony is that pondering why in Dec 1862 my ancestor jumped ship in the Otago habour coming ashore to produce a family that now has seven generations, why he was running away from our home isle in Scotland where the rest of his family lived and still lives ?
And more interestingly what kind of a curse is coming down through the family so that the first generation produces 2 boys, the next 3 boys, the next again only 3 boys, the following one 3 boys and the current one has 1 boy to carry the ancestors name and reputation...when other pioneer families after seven generations have literally hundreds of girls and boys by now....
Are the words of Leviticus 18 relevant to our thoughts and the afore mentioned Christian leader who went to jail a sign for the entire New Zealand Church about the same topic ?
Let us pray again- Lord God speak specifically now to our hearts Amen.
The difference just after ten days in Hebrew I am seeing between that and Arabic is that Arabic language appears from my seriously not academic and very unscientific intutive insight...(In other words he could be quite wrong-Ed) Is that Arab men are looking at women and that is reflected in those 23 potentially eternal covenant root word families of meaning while Hebrew reflects a concern of men to control their own sex thing and to responsibly build up the family.
A family that Benner roots emerging from his Ancient Hebrew Lexicon of the Bible, which God sees as being our reason for living and as men our chief Godly responsibility.
Pray with me now here- Lord God we confess whatsoever we need to at this point in time.
My cursed ancestor who now after 150 years only has one descendant to carry his name, shows all the signs that the curses in Leviticus 18 despite him embracing in South Canterbury the Salvation Army revival gospel, and we now every generation of his family following him in that, despite our seriously good knowledge of the Bible we still are as a family struggling with curses.
Ok again lets pray! Right now in the name of Yeshua we cut off these curses God save us!
So to conclude. Early days in my interaction with a brand new Hebrew langauge. But my advice to Church is this- Forget chasing demons- Rather concentrate on leaders and men having responsible sex lives, so that the door to curses, the tent door is firmly closed. Amen

Shine Ya Good to pick our God because it is sweet and outshining beautiful.
I Am is building up Jerusalem gathering those pushed out of Israel. Healing battered hearts binding up hurt. He accounts the stars meeting each of them by name. Our founder getting bigger, increasing his discipline. His design is calculated.

Romans 12
I tell you brothers by the mercy of God to offer your bodies a special living sacrifice acceptable to God (Ed lets do that together right now-paul) our intelligent work. Don't be a continuing fashion statement but be translated (Shouldn't that be transformed?-Ed Well as a translator I though you would prefer that-paul) by the renewing of your intellect, approved the will of God-Good acceptable complete. I say by the reward given me with you all, not highly intelligent, intellect but leave intellect- Sensible intellect as God divided out to each a standard of faith. As the body has many body parts as all body parts we are. We don't do the same exploits. So many yet- a body will be in the Anointed each one other body parts will be rewarded by the reward given differently; Be it prophecy by the formula of faith; Working in working or teaching in teaching, talking with others in talking with, sharing with honesty and supervising in urgency with kindness and a sence of humor.
